Vocabulary

Rotation- when a figure is rotated through a given angle about a fixed point.

Center of Rotation- the point where a figue is rotated

Angel of Rotation- the angle that the figure is being rotated

Objective

Students will be able to recognize rotations and rotate an object.

Lesson

Translations have no fixed points at all, while rotations have exactly one -- namely, if you stay away from the pivot point, everything else moves.
